Paul Gomory began his career in retained executive search in 1980, and worked earlier in corporate finance, government and consulting.  He graduated from Stanford Business School and Amherst College (Honors; National Merit Scholar), and attended Institut de Hautes Etudes Internationales (Geneva).

He is an investor in several U.S. and international venture capital funds, a member of l'Association Leonardo in Paris, and an Advisor to companies including DaCast, Vaience and Lenos.

Mr. Gomory founded his one-man search practice in 1988 to execute retained CEO and CXO searches with the highest level of personal attention, focus, commitment, and responsiveness.  He accepts no more than three or four search projects at one time.

During 1986-1987, Mr. Gomory was with a premier Silicon Valley search firm for emerging technology companies.  From 1980 to 1985, Mr. Gomory was with Korn/Ferry International in San Francisco, serving smaller technology companies as a Partner.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Gomory was in corporate finance with Weiss, Peck & Greer, served three years on the White House Staff, and worked for Private Investment Company for Asia (Singapore) and for the IMF.

Mr. Gomory is Vice Chair of That Man May See, the vision research foundation at University of California/San Francisco.  He is a former Trustee of Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, and former Chair of San Francisco Dance Theater.

Mr. Gomory is a dual citizen (USA/France) and is fluent in French.  He is a member of the
St. Francis Yacht Club (San Francisco), the Ligue Henri IV, and the Cercle de l'Union Interalliée (Paris).
